BROADWAY & ME (Hamilton)

BUBBLES AND/OR BUBBLE MACHINE
CLEAN-UP BIN: Hampers, Tupperware, Baskets, or Ikea Bags work great!
CASTANETS: Help us keep the beat! We'll be using castanets but any blocks, drums, shakers or any percussive instrument works! Wondering what a percussive instrument is? It's an instrument that keeps a beat rather than playing a melody.
FIRST WORD BOOKS: We'll be putting our minds to work! Have your favorite book (or books) handy.
SHAKER MARACAS: Don't have a shaker maraca? You can make one with some rice and a water bottle or tupperware container! Needing to keep it simple this week? Any instrument your child can control will do! Try to avoid toy instruments that are battery operated and atomically play music.
RED, WHITE, + BLUE'S: Grab something red, white, and/or blue to wave in the air!

TREASURE: Bring a prized possession with you to class. Something that you think is really special. It can be something shiny and sparkly, or something that has sentimental value.

CIRCLE SHARE ITEM OR STORY Take a moment to talk to your child before class about what they want to share with their friends this week. If they want to share a toy or piece of art they've made, make sure to have it handy at the start of class!
A DISGUISE: We are going to be sneaking out of the palace to go exploring. Glasses, hats, or even a scarf are great disguises!

A PRIVATE SPACE Please find a quiet, private place for your child to participate in our virtual classes. Video conferencing can be difficult if there's too much going on in the background and we know some of our K-8 friends don't like when moms, dads, caregivers, and siblings watching them practice. 😉
