Class Policies & Answers to F.A.Q.'s

Trials & Class Discounts

  • Stages Chicago is happy to offer a FREE Trial Class for new students.
  • After School Sibling/Multi-Class Discount: Families enrolling for two (2) or more classes for Grades K-6 will receive a discount of 15% on the younger child(ren)’s tuition.
  • Sibling Discount 0-3yrs: Get 50% off each additional enrollment when you enroll two of more children in the same Broadway & Me class
  • Sibling Discount 2-4yr Drop-Off Classes: Get 30% off each additional enrollment when you enroll two of more children in the same class

Registration Policies

  • Enrollment is done on an ongoing basis. If you enroll part way through the semester, your tuition will be prorated to reflected the late enrollment.
  • The registration fee and initial tuition payment must be paid prior to your first class.
  • A $15 fee will be charged for returned checks.

General Class Policies

  • Stages Performing Arts and its teaching artists are not liable for any injuries sustained while a student is in class, or on the premises.
  • No video, audio, or any other recordings are allowed while classes are in session, with the exception of Open House days.
  • Stages Performing Arts reserves the right to film or photograph classes for teaching purposes and publicity. Please contact Emily Pinas at info@stageschicago.com if you do not want your child’s image used on our website or for promotional purposes.

Class Cancellations and Inclement Weather

  • Stages Performing Arts reserves the right to cancel classes for the semester/session due to low enrollment. Alternative class options or refunds will be offered under such circumstances.
  • In case of inclement weather or severe weather advisories, Stages Chicago follows the Chicago Public Schools cancellation procedures.
  • In the event that classes are canceled due to inclement weather, Stages will allow offer make-up classes.

Refund Policy

  • In order to receive a refund, families must withdraw before the third class. The amount refunded will be less the cost of any classes that have already occurred, and will not include a $20 processing fee.
  • Tuition fees paid are forfeited and no refunds will be offered following the third class of each session.
  • There is NO tuition credit for missed classes during the school year.
  • Invalid Payments: There is a $25 charge issued on each returned check.

Absences and Make-up Classes

  • No refunds will be given for missed classes.
  • Due to the nature of our Broadway Stars and Broadway Stages classes, make-ups for students in our After School Program are at the discretion of the the class teachers.
  • UPDATED 0-5YR CLASS MAKE-UP POLICY: (Effective January 1, 2019)
    • Enrolled Families are entitled to One (1) Make-Up Class per Session that can be used anytime during the current Semester.
    • Make-Up Classes can be redeemed for the following:
      • Drop-In Class: Attend a class other than your scheduled day and time free of charge at any point during the current session (pending availability)
      • Make-Up Week: Attend a class free of charge during the Designated Semester Make-Up Week.
      • Bring A Friend: Use your make-up to bring a friend to class with you one week free of charge (pending availability)
      • Gift A Class: Have a friend attend your regular class day and time in your place or send an electronic gift card good for One (1) Drop-In Class to a friend who is new to Stages!
    • Make-Up Classes can be redeemed by emailing info@stageschicago.com
    • Make-Ups must be used within the Semester they were earned and will not carry over to future semesters.
